Nothing Is Impossible
NURTURING THE RIGHT CULTURE
The “Nothing is Impossible” mindset is nurtured through a culture emphasising hard work, resilience and the courage to try new things.
From Year 1, children are taught that everything new can be challenging, but with persistence, it becomes easier. They learn to embrace hard work and develop the habit of always trying, with setbacks seen as stepping stones to success.
This approach empowers students to approach every opportunity with self-belief and resilience, fostering a mindset that no challenge is insurmountable.
BUILDING RESILIENCE THROUGH EVERY CHALLENGE, BIG OR SMALL
School is full of opportunities to practise and strengthen the resilience muscle – from micro-moments in everyday life, like tackling homework or learning a new instrument, to significant milestones, such as performing in the Annual Cempaka Voices in Concert or pushing through the challenges of the Cempakan Spartan Kids obstacle course.
Each experience helps students build persistence, determination, and the ability to overcome obstacles, both big and small.
COOPERATION LEADS TO SHARED SUCCESS
At this young age, we lay the foundation for essential social skills that promote teamwork, and to understand that life is not a zero sum game.
Cempakans in the primary school begin to recognise their role within a larger community, whether they are collaborating on a class project or competing as part of their school sports house in the Cempaka Junior First House Cup.
They come to realise that working together can make seemingly difficult tasks more manageable, and that cooperation often leads to shared success.
