Nothing Is Impossible
COME BACK BRIGHTER
In the classroom, Cempakans face academic competitions, public examinations, and increasingly complex academic challenges, demanding more of them than ever before.
Outside the classroom, even bigger stages await. They may find themselves pitted against formidable opponents in a high-stakes championship match, or pushing through the final, grueling stretch of a triathlon, battling their own inner struggles to stay the course. They may face anxious moments before stepping onto the stage in a Cempaka Box Office production, or at an international music festival.
Throughout their school life, Cempakans will encounter setbacks and disappointments. Yet, they will also take pride in overcoming challenges and savour the sweetness of success, made all the more meaningful by the hardships they’ve endured.
Above all, Cempakans learn the invaluable lesson of resilience: to always rise after a fall and Come Back Brighter. (easter egg link to Reef song).
THE FIRST HOUSE CUP
Each year, the four school houses fiercely compete for the First House Cup, in a series of interhouse competitions spread across the school calendar.
These events encompass every aspect of school life, demanding a wide range of skills—from academics, debate, and strategic games to sports, music, and design. They serve as thrilling highlights of the school year, generating excitement and joy for the entire community.
Beyond the competition, these events offer valuable opportunities for leadership, strategy, and teamwork, playing a pivotal role in each student’s personal growth.
For many Cempakans, these moments form the backdrop for their most cherished school memories, while also providing the perfect arena to cultivate the “Nothing is Impossible” mindset.
MAKING A DIFFERENCE
One important lesson we strive to instill in every Cempakan is the notion that addressing real-world problems is well within their reach, even during their school years. Solutions and meaningful action are not confined to realm of adults.
Cempakans are guided to think critically about he world around them and are given opportunities to lead, take initiative, and tackle issues that matter to them.
With platforms to solve problems closest to their heart and the support to make a tangible impact, Cempakans learn that purpose-driven action can start in school, and that there is immense joy in making a difference.
