School Hours:
Monday – Friday: 8:00 am – 3:30 pm
3:30 pm – 4:30 pm (Optional afternoon activities session)
School Semester:
There are three academic terms in a year: September, January, and April.

Teachers at Cempaka School take genuine interests in the all of the aspect
of development of student. They attend to individual student as personal
tutor to:
- Monitor the academic progress
- Provide pastoral care
Teachers here also work collaboratively to ensure the student achieves
a wholesome academic progress. At the end of the semester, a report will
be produced based on the progress of each student; this report will be
presented to the parent during the Report Card Day.
Teacher Qualification:
As part of its commitment to deliver high quality education, Cempaka Schools
equips itself with teachers of highly respectable academic background,
diversified teaching caliber with many years professional experience.
Main Curriculum:
Students in Y7 to Y9 will follow the British National Curriculum. When
students reach Y10 and Y11, they will follow the IGCSE (International
General Certificate of Secondary Education) from the University of Cambridge.

*Business Studies will be added to Y9 syllabus to prepare student with
the knowledge in Commerce prior to choosing the specific stream of studies
in Y10.
Examinations from Cambridge Universities have been used by schools and
colleges around the world for over 100 years. These prestigious qualifications
are recognized by universities worldwide for their high standards and
the skills and abilities that they develop in students.
IGCSE subjects can be taken in two ways:
1) As individual subject examinations
2) As qualifications rewards the International Certificate or Education
(ICE)
Candidates who qualify for the ICE award will be placed in one of the
three categories: Distinction, Merit, Pass. ICE is awarded to candidates
who pass in at least seven IGCSE subjects including two from IGCSE syllabus
or Group II to V. The seventh subject may be chosen from any syllabus
groups.

Cempaka Awards
Scheme:
The aim of this scheme is to nurture all-rounded Cempakans, who excel
not only academically, but also equally competent and comfortable in the
sporting arena as well as being welfare-conscious and compassionate.Upon
entrance into the school, a student enters the scheme by obtaining a CAS
Bronze Award Record book which he or she keeps track of co-curricular
activites and academic achievement. Qualification of the CAS bronze Award
occurs upon fulfilling certain criteria as detailed in the record book.
Upon recognition of CAS Bronze Award, one qualifies to move on the Silver,
the Gold, and ultimately, the Platinum Award.
Bus Services:
We are able to recommend a few independent bus companies. The contact
telephone numbers are available from the School Office.
Meals:
All varieties of halal food can be obtained from the canteen.
Entry Requirement:
Entrance Examination Fee : RM 1,000.00 (non-refundable)
Registration Fee * : RM 5,000.00
Advance Fee * : RM 10,000.00
* These fees are payable along with the Entrance Examination Fee.
*Registration Fee of RM 5,000.00 is due to be paid along with Entrance Examination.
**Application form together with a copy of the child’s Birth
Certificate or NRIC (made in A4 size) and ONE Passport
Size Photograph is required upon registration for the Entrance
Examination. Applications can only be processed after the payment of RM16,000.00 has been made. All fees should be made payable to CEMPAKA INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL |
