There are TWO semesters in a year: January to May and June to

Student teacher ratio - 1 : 10
Each student will be assigned a personal tutor to :
- monitor their academic progress
- liaise with all teachers in all aspects of the student’s well
rounded education
- provide pastoral care
At the end of every semester, the personal tutor produces a confidential
report which will serve as a basis for discussion during Report Card Day.
Teacher Qualification
In order to provide your children with the best possible education,
Sri Cempaka’s policy is to employ teachers with high qualifications
and with many years of teaching experience

KBSR (Kurikulum Baru Sekolah Rendah)
The School follows the National Curriculum. Cempakans are prepared
for the Ujian Penilaian Sekolah Rendah (UPSR) at Primary School

Performing Arts Curriculum in the Primary School
Our long term aim is to create a new breed of truly all-rounded
Cempakans who embody the School’s ideals – a generation of
Scholars, Sportsmen & Gentlemen who are confident, poised, an ear
for music and proficient in at least one musical instrument. Therefore,
Performing Arts is integrated into the Standard One to Standard Six curriculum.
There are four components in this syllabus:
i. Proficiency in a Musical Instrument
- The instrumental studies are the violin, the piano (clavinova)
and the recorder
(Note: Selection is based on first come first serve basis)
ii. Speech & Drama
iii. Vocal Training
iv. Physical Training (Artistic & Rhythmic Gymnastics)
This curriculum is compulsory throughout the whole primary level education,
after which it becomes optional and scheduled after regular school hours.
Co-curricular Activities
Sri Cempaka prides itself in the variety of extra curricular
activities that it offers. These activities will instill leadership qualities,
while demonstrating the importance of discipline to the students. We also
endeavour to develop the interest and talents of the students to the fullest.

Technology
Smartcard - Each Cempakan has a smartcard which is to be clearly
displayed at all times in school. The smartcard has various functions, identification
and electronic cash (canteen, school mart, library) being the principal
ones. New functions are constantly being added.
Online Services - Grades, academic reports, discipline record, homework
and various other information is available online at any time to both parents
and students, via the Cempaka Online Services.
Email (Std. 4 onwards) - All Cempakans receive a cempaka.edu.my email
account upon starting school.
Cempaka Junior Awards Scheme
The aim of this Scheme is to nurture all-rounded Cempakans who
not only excel academically, but are equally competent and comfortable in
the sporting arena as they are serving their community.
Bus Services :
We are able to recommend a few independent bus companies. The contact
telephone numbers are available from the School Office.
Meals :
Meals are included in the semester fees for Standard 1, 2 &
3. Students from Standard Four onwards will have to purchase their food
from the school canteen. All food is ‘halal’.
Entry Requirement :
Entry into the School is by competitive entrance examinations (written examinations
in Bahasa Melayu, English and Mathematics) and interview.
Entrance Examination Fee : RM100.00 per student (non-refundable)
* Registration Fee of RM500.00 is payable along with the Entrance Examinations.
**Application form together with a copy of your child’s Birth
Certificate / NRIC (A4 size) and ONE Passport Size Photograph
is required upon registration for the Entrance Examination. All applications
will only be processed after payment of RM600.00 has been made. All fees
should be made payable to SEKOLAH SRI CEMPAKA SDN.BHD.
