CILC Residence
Boarding school life teaches the girls discipline, independence, confidence and character, qualities that will benefit them throughout their lives. They will develop bonds with their fellow Cempakans that will hold for much longer than the duration of their stay at CILC. As part of the Cempaka community, the girls will learn values such as tolerance, patience, empathy, humility and proper etiquette. This experience will also prepare them for university.
Boarding and Amenities
The House system is at the core of College life. The girls will become a family by living together and will have experiences and memories that will last a lifetime.
Cempaka International Ladies’ College has four boarding houses - Beruang (Bear), Harimau (Tiger), Helang (Eagle), Seladang (Ox). Each house comprises girls from all levels. The senior girls take leadership roles in the running of the House, acting as ‘older sisters’ to the junior girls.
Years 7, 8, 9, 10, & 11 students are placed in twin sharing rooms, while girls in their senior year each have their own room. Each room has its own private bathroom. The boarding houses are provided with housekeeping and laundry services. There are also study rooms and common areas, where students may socialize, relax, and unwind. Other on-campus facilities include the school-mart (for books and uniform), convenience store, launderette, and dental clinic.
Meals
Food services is a key component of providing a healthy, conducive, enjoyable environment for the girls. Emphasis is on providing balanced, nutritious and healthy food. All meals (breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner & supper) are provided, although girls may choose to stock up on their own food (available from town or the campus shop). Food preferences (vegetarian/Western/Asian) are catered for. Diet sensitivities/allergies must be expressed during Registration. All food is halal.
